MINÉRAL - RICHE - AGRUMES
Chenin is the grape variety of the Loire's best wines. The Loire is said to be the only terroir that really suits that particular variety.
It's a complicated grape that requires a great deal of work on the wine-grower and winemaker's part. It gives a mineral wine, with little hints of quince or acacia flowers. A rich tasting awaits: it's a full, long wine whose viscosity announces a sophisticated aftertaste with hints of citrus and exotic fruit.
THE ADVICE OF PLOU&FILS :
This grape variety is beyond compare and requires the best products to be paired with; grilled or steamed fish (especially turbot and sole). Definitely a wine you should lay down but still very good when young. To be served around 8*C.
